“Under the Azure Dome” celebrated Nowruz and explored Iranian art and culture on a scale not previously experienced in Canada. The festival was held on March 17-19, 2006 at the Harbourfront Centre and presented over a hundred performers in dance, music, theatre, cinema, and visual arts drawing an unprecedented number of about 25,000 visitors from Canada and overseas. The great success of the event was the outcome of over two years of planning, programming, and providing by hundreds of volunteers, sponsors, and donors. The sense of pride and accomplishment was shared by the whole community who has been asking the same question ever since,”when is the next one?” We are pleased to announce that July 17-20, 2008 is the time and Harbourfront Centre is the place.
